Are you interested in more realistic stories that seem just as magical as other books? Here are my recommendations for you:

Out of My Mind
by Sharon M. Draper
Eleven-year-old Melody is not like most people. She can’t walk. She can’t talk. She can’t write. All because she has cerebral palsy. But she also has a photographic memory; she can remember every detail of everything she has ever experienced. She’s the smartest kid in her whole school, but no one knows it. Most people—her teachers, her doctors, her classmates—dismiss her as mentally challenged because she can’t tell them otherwise. But Melody refuses to be defined by her disability. And she’s determined to let everyone know it…somehow.
This is a wonderful and touching story that will change how we look at disabled people. I enjoyed this book because it is told through the voice of Melody who can't talk. This book is soon to have a movie too.

The Rooftoppers
by Katherine Rundell
Charles Maxim finds a baby floating in a cello case in the English channel. Their ship had just sunk and the baby was the last to be rescued. Charles decided to name her Sophie and raised her the best he can. He was a scholar and taught Sophie himself.
As Sophie got older she wanted to learn music and was keen on the cello as she remembered her mother playing. When the authorities came to check on them, they weren’t happy with the way she was being raised and they decide Sophie’s fate which leads them to escaping England for France after a clue Sophie has found about her mother. What follows is a look into a world of children who live on the rooftops and in the trees of Paris.
This is an adventurous and heart-warming story that is very nice to read.

Anne of Green Gables
by L.M. Montgomery
Anne is an eleven-year-old orphan with red hair, a miserable life and a vivid imagination. She is sent to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, two middle aged siblings who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in the town of Avonlea in Prince Edward Island. They are surprised when Anne comes, but after bonding with her they decide to keep her. Anne has trouble getting used to this small town but after a while she manages to win everyone's hearts in Avonlea.
This wonderful and heart-warming book has changed the way I see the world.

Wonder
by R.J. Palacio
Wonder is the story of a 10-year-old boy called Auggie Pullman, who was born with facial differences. He has been through lots of surgeries, which meant he had to be homeschooled until 5th grade, when his parents decided that he needs to go to school. Auggie agrees despite knowing it will be hard for him. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid, but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face.
Wonder is a fun and beautiful book that will teach you a lot. This book is told from a different perspective with each chapter, and you'll get caught up in it from the very first page. I recommend this heartwarming story to everyone of every age, and you should definitely watch its movie after reading.
